Challenges:

The School House is an historical property with charm and character.  It was very important to the owner to stay true to the historical authenticity of the building.  This included applying the same materials as were originally used.  The School House would, however, need updated conveniences to match its new, modern uses and meet today's building codes.

Solutions:

Keystone and its affiliates did the research necessary to be historically accurate with the time period in which the School House was built and used the same type of wood that originally raised and steadied the structure of this timeless building.  Careful thought and delicate consideration were made in introducing the School House to modern elements, such as improved electric and plumbing. In order to reawaken the House and bring it back to an active, welcoming life, particular communication and planning with the owner were essential.
